January, 2011: The NPRLab, in collaboration with Dr. Panitch at Purdue and a strong team at the University of Wisconsin was awarded for their proposal to DARPA entitled “NORMAL AND ACCELERATED FAILURE ASSESSMENT OF NEW QUANTITATIVE IN VITRO AND IN VIVO NEURAL INTERFACES”.
This 3 year, $1.9M project will seek to understand, propagate, and mitigate device-tissue interface failure for chronic microelectrodes in the central nervous system.
