April 2011: Congratulations to Leigh’e Lincoln et al. for winning the College of Science Dean’s Choice Award at the Purdue University Undergraduate Poster Competition!

  • Also, congratulations to T.J. Hinton, Neil Patel et al. for winning the Engineering Council Choice Award at the same competition!

January, 2011: The NPRLab, in collaboration with Dr. Panitch at Purdue and a strong team at the University of Wisconsin was awarded for their proposal to DARPA entitled “NORMAL AND ACCELERATED FAILURE ASSESSMENT OF NEW QUANTITATIVE IN VITRO AND IN VIVO NEURAL INTERFACES”.

  • This 3 year, $1.9M project will seek to understand, propagate, and mitigate device-tissue interface failure for chronic microelectrodes in the central nervous system.

January, 2011: The NPRLab was the recipient of a another generous personal financial gift, matched by a corporate gift. Once again, we thank our donors immensely for supporting our work!

April 7, 2010: Congratulations to Himanshi Desai et al. for winning the College of Science First Place Award at the Purdue University Undergraduate Poster Competition!

March, 2010: Congratulations to Ashley Sankari for an outstanding day at the Indiana State Science Fair Competition! In total she:

  • Received the Weaver Scholarship from the Science Education Foundation of Indiana, Inc.
  • Received First Place in Excellence in Human Health, Biology or Life Sciences.
  • Was awarded the Intel Excellence in Computer Science Award.
