University of Miami Neural Engineering Symposium

A few lab members were able to make the drive down to Miami for UM’s Neural Engineering Symposium. We saw a lot of very exciting research and connected with researchers at other universities, which will help inspire and inform our own goals. In addition, Alexis Brake won the award for the best undergraduate poster! She was invited to present a dynamic poster presentation at the symposium.

Biomaterials Day!

We had a great time participating in Biomaterials Day 2019 here at UF this past Monday. Nicole Viet, an undergraduate student working with graduate student Morgan Urdaneta on intracortical electrodes, won the award for best poster overall.

March 2018: Alexis Brake and Anne Gormaley selected as University Scholars for 2018-2019.

Alexis Brake and Anne Gormaley have been selected for the competitive University Scholars program which includes a $1,750 stipend.  The full story is located on the UF Biomedical Engineering website here.
